Discover the Vinyasa Flow Dance!

Vinyasa literally translates as to “move in a special way”. Its a set of asanas (yoga poses) that run together almost like a dance. Don’t like dancing? Don’t worry. They’ll be no tango or cha cha happening in the room AND there won’t be any partner work. Phew…. Did I hear you say?

These classes are about creating time just for YOU and nurturing YOU. In Vinyasa flow you will learn to synchronise your breath with beautiful (and strong) flowing movements which will help calm and focus your mind and help you feel mentally and emotionally empowered, whilst you work up a sweat. You’ll sweep away those mental, emotional and physical cobwebs and rekindle that beautiful romance with your shiny sparkly self again.

Either way, variety is the spice of life… so you’ll be happy to know that every class brings a different sequence from the one before and a new “flow”, allowing you to be guided through the class. All you need to do is “show up”.

Deliciously Dreamy Yin Yoga!

Yin Yoga classes in Doreen, Mernda, Whittlesea, South Morang, and Yarrambat. Deliciously Dreamy, Yin yoga is a practise that is transformative and beautifully compliments a more yang and dynamic practise such as Vinyasa Flow. It is a deep meditative practise that will cultivate a profound sense of stillness and quiet in your mind and will leave you feeling open; physically, mentally and emotionally. And if you’ve never been good at meditating -don’t worry the power of the yin poses will lull you into a sublime state of peace and relaxation… No previous experience necessary.

Yin yoga consists of luscious stretches which are usually held from between 3 to 5 minutes. These stretches caress and cajole the deep connective tissues of the body- the fascia, tendons and ligaments, which literally open up your body, leaving you with a renewed sense of softness and spaciousness.

Yin is a powerful practise that allows your mind and body to slowly unfurl, peeling off layers of heaviness and accumulated tension in your mind and body allowing you to yield deeper to who you truly are.

Prenatal Yoga; A labour of love

Pregnancy is a time for celebration, for joy. It is a time for you to turn in, slow down, cultivate a deep sense of self love, self-nurturing, and reconnect with your bodies wisdom AND connect with your growing baby. It is a time to really honour your femininity and celebrate the changes in your body as you prepare to bring new life into this world.

Prenatal yoga will help you to reconnect more deeply with your body, your femininity and enhance the enjoyment of your journey through this special and sacred time as you learn to connect with your deep instinctual self.

Prenatal Yoga helps you to develop your endurance, strengthens your body and prepares you physically for childbirth. AND it improves your post pregnancy recovery.

You will also work deeply on your mental and emotional state which will help you to remain calm, focused, present and empowered throughout this sacred rite of passage. These classes will allow you to feel deeply nurtured and supported as you connect with -and share this journey with other women.

Slow Flow: Beginner series

Slow Flow is a gentle practise that has been created for those new to yoga (or those wanting a more gentle and restorative class). Throughout this practise we focus on the fundamentals of flow which include; sun salutations, alignment, pranayama (breath) and integrating breath with movement.

Whether you're dealing with an injury and have concerns around managing your practise with this, or you're not feeling fit or flexible, are over weight, or are dealing with some emotional or mental health issues. It doesn't matter... yoga is for everyone. What matters most is YOUR commitment to the practise. This is ultimately what allows you to get the results you seek.

Discover the Bliss of “Being” with Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is often referred to as Yogic sleep or transformative sleep. It is a reclined, full body relaxation and guided meditation practise that is TRULY blissful and is akin to the modern day panacea for our current ailments; of stress, exhaustion and fatigue.

The practise consists of moving your awareness through the body, accessing deeper and deeper brainwave states, whilst staying fully conscious. This practise draws you into a PROFOUND state of relaxation, prescence, peace and vitality and has been my constant go- to whilst running after a busy toddler.
